Our group has around 500 members of varied ages and abilities. We have walks at weekends and midweek, varying in length from 5 to 15 miles. Our walks mainly cover the Sussex Downs and surrounding villages, but occasionally we venture further afield. In addition, in the summer months, we have some evening walks. We also hold a number of social activities - click on the 'Diary' page on menu above to view these.
We encourage car sharing, and compile a car pool listing members who are willing to offer lifts. Unless stated otherwise, our walks begin at 10.00 am. We arrive at the grid referenced start point, bringing our own drinks and picnic lunch. Those who wish to, often visit a cafe or pub as a group when the walk is over.
Use the link to the 'Walksfinder', click on your selected walk and scroll down to see the start point arrowed on maps. Perhaps you would like to join us for a sample walk or two - our members would make you very welcome. Please note that the National Trust is now charging £2 for some car parks. We have indicated in our programme where our walks may be affected.
